Athletes Foot & Natural Remedies
Ask anyone that has had athletes foot...It can make you crazy with the itching, stinging and burning especially between the toes ! You will more than likely experience blisters and peeling,red skin,discolored,thick toenails and more....
Athletes foot is a fungal infection that is contagious found on the feet and sometimes on the hands.
It's not always the easiest thing to get rid of either.so you really need to keep ontop of it.
The athletes foot fungus thrives in warm, moist environments and anyone can get it from any person or thing that the fungus is on.
Please remember to always seek medical attention when needed ! More serious problems can occur like a bacterial infection so please make sure that you seek medical advice when needed....
Let your feet air out,don't always keep them closed up in your shoes....Athletes foot is contagious so make sure you take care to wash your hands after touching the affected area and wash the tub and shower with an antiseptic cleaner that will kill fungus and bacteria....Make sure you do NOT share towels and linen..put them right in the wash after each use,wear fresh socks every day...Use different shoes,don't wear the same shoes every day ! Give them time to air out and dry between uses

Plain Yogurt
A quick remedy for athlete’s foot is plain yogurt that contains live acidophilus bacteria . The acidophilus bacteria is a friendly microorganisms that takes care of the fungus. All you need to do is just dab the yogurt on the athletes foot infected areas and let it dry, and then rinse it off.
Tea
The tannic acid in regular tea is pretty helpful in drying out those stinky-sweaty feet fast. Use at least five tea bags and steep (soak) in boiled water for about 6-10 minutes and soak your feet in the lukewarm water for a little while .
Calendula
Calendula has antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties so a calendula ointment could also be used on affected areas.
Ginger is also a strong antifungal...add ginger to boiling water and simmer for about 15 minutes and then dab on affected area and dry completely
Wash feet at least once daily or even twice to keep fungus away and make sure you dry the area thoroughly to keep fungus away a great trick is using a hair dryer between the toes
Saliva/spit
Yep you read that right !
Your saliva or spit is said to be helpful in taking care of your athlete’s foot
Mustard Powder
Add a little Mustard Powder to your warm foot bath ! It helps to kill the fungus
Coconut Oil
Coconut Oil has antifungal,antibacterial properties and can be applied a few times a day with a swab,wash hands after applying,,,
Tea Tree
Mix tea tree oil with the same amount of olive oil and rub it into the affected area twice a day. And put on a pair of cotton socks if you have them
Lavender
Lavender has antifungal properties ! Mix three drops of lavender oil to one teaspoon of olive oil, jojoba oil or any other good carrier oil like coconut oil or almond etc...
Baking soda is antifungal and kills bacteria !
So you can sprinkle some in your shoes after you have worn them, You can even make a paste and rub it on your feet.Rub paste on feet and let it dry then rinse off and dry completely
Tea Tree will help kill the fungus...Make sure you use tea tree in a diluted form like it mixed with a carrier oil or in a cream...
Oregano Oil / Oregano Tea Foot Soak
Oregano contains essential oils that act against harmful organisms.[6] Make a strong tea of about 3-4 ounces of oregano leaves and enough water to cover your feet. Soak your feet a few times a day in the tea.
If the feet odor is bad soak them in lemon water. Soak in 1/2 cup lemon juice and 1 1/2 gallons water for about 15 minutes.
Peroxide & Water Soak
Hydrogen peroxide works on killing off fungus and bacteria .
Try a foot soak of warm water and peroxide !
Clip toenails before soaking to help get any fungus and bacteria out when soaking feet so it can help remove any fungus that may be hanging around the edges or under your nail...Mix about 1 1/2 gallon of fresh warm tap water and 1-2 cups peroxide and soak 20-30 minutes and pat dry the feet with a clean towel.
Foot soak:
Mix 2 tablespoons of Himalayan salt with ½ cup Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with some warm water for 15-20 minutes
Cornstarch (NON GMO preferred)
Cornstarch absorbs moisture like crazy. Apply cornstarch to clean washed and dried feet...Apply cornstarch let sit for about 15 minutes and brush off with hands or clean towel making sure you wash your hands well when done.
Crushed Garlic:
Yep put some crushed garlic between the toes and other foot area...The Allicin in garlic inhibits the growth of the fungus !
